Our Mission
Our mission is to protect Carbondale Township and its citizens from the dangers of fire and other emergencies. We strive to provide the highest level of service, professionalism, and dedication to our community.
Our Founding
The Meredith Hose Company No. 1 was named for Samuel Meredith, the first Treasurer of the United States. The Meredith's were a prominent family in our area during Revolutionary War and colonial times. Some members of the Meredith family are buried in Childs. The charter issued by the state as a corporation is Dec. 18, 1912. There were 33 original members. It was located in The Mayfield Yards of the Ontario & Western Railroad in Childs.
